Born in the mountains,
painting from the heart
I grew up in British Columbia, Canada, surrounded by old-growth forests, mountain rivers, and light that changed color by the hour. That landscape lives in me — and it shows up in my work, even now that I call Greentown, Indiana home.
"Painting is the way I stay present. Every canvas is a conversation with something bigger than myself."
I came to painting as a deeply personal practice — a way to process beauty, stillness, and the world I love. I work exclusively in acrylics, drawn to the medium's versatility and the way it can be both bold and delicate in the same painting. Whether I'm layering glazes on a misty forest scene or laying down thick texture for a flower, every piece is painted with intention.
I'm a mother of six children — one by birth, five adopted — and my faith in God is woven into everything I do. Art, for me, is an act of gratitude. There is so much beauty in this world, and I feel called to notice it, to slow down, and to pass it on.
My work explores landscapes, seasons, and the quieter moments of the natural world — moonlit lakes, misty evergreen forests, snowfall, birch groves in summer. I'm endlessly fascinated by how light changes the feeling of a scene, and how a painting can hold an emotion that words can't quite reach.
I also work as a graphic designer and artist, which gives my paintings a deliberate sense of composition. I think carefully about what I include — and what I leave out.
If something in my work speaks to you, I'd love to hear from you. Every painting is an original — made by hand, painted with care, and ready to find a home where it will be loved.
